Printing to XYZ From Linux
#1
I've got a Davinci Pro 1.0, and am currently on the stock firmware (not ready for the upgrade trip just yet).
In order to print from Linux, I've started to write a command-line application, so thought I'd share what I had so far (attached).

The program so far allows the status of the printer to be interrogated over the network, e.g.

./davpro -q 192.168.1.7 9100
Model Number: daVinci Pro. 1w
Serial Number: 9Q7KEPAZ5DE12KA401
Status: unknown
Door: Closed
Lid: Closed
Bed Temperature: 28.0C
Nozzle 1:
  Cartridge Type: GBA66TH59E0069
  Filament Remaining: 240.000m
  Temperature: 24.0C

It also outputs the same sort of information in json format.
Uploading has not been included yet, but it is going to be quite straightforward.

Any development / enhancement / feedback comments would be greatly appreciated.

Ta, Steve

Not done much more on the interface to the printer.
The command line tool I wrote outputs in JSON, and I've done a simple GUI using QT5.
I've put both into GIT here:

Please excuse the coding ... I'm not a software engineer!
