Fan control with Repetier
#1
I'm looking to set my extruder fan to be controlled by gcode.
I'm on repetier 0.92 at the moment. Am I right in thinking I'd need to re-flash using this parameter in the arduino sketch - #define REPURPOSE_FAN_TO_COOL_EXTRUSIONS 1 //
Also, what is meant by "Warning: for DaVinci 1.0 need to add a permanent fan with power supply to cool extruder" ?

Ok, I'm guessing the warning is referring to people using the main fan as a layer cooling fan, in which case you would need to add another fan to cool the extruder of course.
I just want to be able to turn the extruder fan off to allow it to heat up faster then turn it on when the print starts via gcode. I do this manually at present by unplugging the fan power cable.
Do I still need to re-flash with #define REPURPOSE_FAN_TO_COOL_EXTRUSIONS 1 // to do this ?
