Stepper Driver Board replacement
#1
Has anyone replaced the stepper driver boards on their davinci. Are the drivers the same as any other ones out there or are they a specific type or pcb layout? The extruder motor is skipping because it is overheating from moving so fast. I would like to get an adjustable stepper board to replace it so i can push the speed way higher.

If no one out there can help or has done it i'll do it myself to see if it works or fries the board or what.

Thanks guys

I can tell you that the ones made by sainsmart for Reprap are physically to small. I haven't found ones to fit yet.

How fast are you printing, what is your nozzle temperature ?
I usually print max 45mm/s @ 235 degree. If I print faster the 50mm/s I always get clicking/skipping when do infill.

I don't believe those are them. The ones that are stock on my machine are not adjustable current, and the size is also larger. The one you posted is similar to the ones I replaced mine with and had to solder jumpers to so I was able to plug it into the sockets on the main board.
