Thank you for this,Im looking to flash rep to my printer but wanted to get the settings from others. How well does your prints come out? Do you have the autobed level set up?

I disable auto bed because I find it does not work correctly.
My impressions are very clean, I would say even better than the XYZ software for the printing speed may be slower

I find auto bed leveling to work fine. I have manually leveled the bed so that it doesn't work the z axis that much.
The only setting I can see in your setup that is different than mine is that the z-axis steps/mm in the EEPROM settings should be 2560, not 2600.
The z-axis probe IS a bit touchy, and MUST be absolutely clean to work right. Also, using the "paper gauge" method of bed alignment won't work well with auto leveling, because with varying tolerances and the z probe adjustment, usually the z probe won't make contact with the touch points. You really need to raise the bed a couple of mm for that to work. You can fine-tune the nozzle height with the EEPROM z-probe height value. Zero to 0.1mm gives a good first layer contact.

Sounds promising, I am getting close to going to repetier... I have slicer running pretty well now and have 3rd party filaments running fine and I can put it all back too standard without any real effort.

WOW guys,

I have followed a few guides with little if any success. I came across this page by pure good fortune and followed it in conjunction with some details gleaned elsewhere.
Flashed my XYZ 3d 1.0 and repetier host not only connects but does an amazing print of ABS, far surpasses anything the XYZware managed.

So from one very happy tinkerer THANK YOU!

When I use the host with the settings posted, the printer wont print. When I switch to Pronterface, the printer prints but not with the right off-sets. ARGH!!! someone please help me!

What is the model of your printer?
I believe that the settings posted here are for the Da Vinci 1.0 (older model)
If you have a newer revision, or an altogether different make, I wouldn't expect these settings to work for you.
If you're not sure what model you've got, spend some time looking around the forums. They should help you identify the printer you have.

This is a fantastic guide! Thank you so much, I am printing like a champ now. I am sure I will tweak things as I go but this the best start I could ask for!

One correction though if I may... In the gcode start code, line 6 really should be at line 2.

Edouard, I just noticed that you have a z-offset for PLA. Is this to account for something that you put over the bed like tape, or does PLA need to be extruded further from the print bed than ABS?

I put a z-offset for PLA because the plate deforms less at 50-55 ° C compared to 90 ° to the ABS. If the nozzle rubs against the bed

vous dites -Installe arduino 1.5.8 c'est une pièces électroniques ? si oui acheter ou ?
après suivre les étapes comme vous expliqué, on peut utiliser d'autres filaments sans problème PLA et ABS ?
vous utilisez quelle marque de filaments et achetez ou ?
