Da Vinci Spares
#1
This thread will list all hardware that directly replaces original parts on the Da Vinci Printer.

Generally, there are two types:
Printable - Usually a 3d model which you can download, print, and use to directly replace a part of your printer.
Other - Links/specs for spares available online or at a local hardware store.

If you are looking for Modified/Altered parts, have a look at the Hardware Mods Thread.

Try and keep posts to 1 part/model per post, properly named, so that any questions or queries can be easily referenced.
Please include relevant pics, and zip all attachments.

Lets keep the thread clean.
If you want to say thanks, hit the Thanks button.
If you want to discuss something specific about one of these parts, please open up a new thread in the User to User Support section

This is a spool to replace the cardboard spool inside the XYZ Da Vinci starter cartridge.

Why should I make this if I can just use 3rd party spools outside the printer?

Because I like having everything neat and tidy inside the printer. So I printed this out, and rewound the spool, and voila, I now have roughly 380m of 3rd party filament inside the starter cartridge.

This is replacement parts for Da Vinci 1.0 Y axis Bearing Holder.
The Bearing holder on top of Y axis stepper motor was cracked open. I took all the bear holder out all of them were damaged. So I make this replacement beef them up to fix my printer. I print mine in ABS with 0.25mm layer height, print with support. The Bearing is 625 bearings. OpenSCAD file included.

User Chenglung is on a roll with his great hand made 3d spare parts.
This time, it's the X axis idler holder.

"I end up using 683ZZ 3x7x3 bearings and reprint the idler holder.
Here is my current V4 design. Looks the printed parts hold up well.. Let me know what you think."

"There is the files, include OpenSCAD and DXF drawing file
File Attachment:
File Name: X_Idler_holder_v04.zip
File Size: 10 KB

I print mine in ABS with support. I use Kissicer with 0.25mm layer height , 0.4mm extruding with 50% infill."

I personally purchased a 40w

Heat Bed Thermistor 3.6mm 100k
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2x-100K-High-Sta...33902c1507

My glass on my heat bed cracked, and the heating element is glued to it. Do not feel like pulling all the glass off so I will be replacing this with a helios pcb heating bed and a new glass. Will update how it works at when I get my part.

Please just mention the specs of the part so people can do their own search. We just dont want this to become a "for sale" section. Its OK to leave what you posted, we will edit it when the link is no longer valid. Thanks for your contributions! Smile

I found this on Thingiverse. I know i need to print a few! You will need to add some double sided tape to make it stick.

The spools when I try to load exceed the size of the print bed. Can you make it two separate files? Also Repetier Host says the spools are not manifold tight.

Thank you for the information about spare parts. Has anyone replaced their thermistor? I messed mine up while cleaning. I did a replacement and have the machine thinking it is at 114 C when it is actually hot enough to melt abs . If someone has a part number and guidance about properly anchoring the thermistor in the hotend hole that would be great. Thanks in advance.

Pat,

Did you replaced the thermistor? Which one did you used and how did you anchor it?

Thanks

Another solution would be to use a Due/RADDS if you cannot find DAVINCI Board it would be more flexible

Thank you luc yes I was already considering doing that Wink but now probably what I should have asked is does the .92 da vinic mod work right off the bat ? Or do I need to to mod the firmware to work ? I wanted the same board because it would be a perfect fit . I don't care if I use the due board only I don't like coding so much and it is hard

Sorry you already answered my question by stating that "it was more flexible " thank you so ya id have to wirte custom firmware blaa Sick but I really need more printer and to be bigger . I'm making 2ft^3 on so I can print bike mags rims . Sorry for not having contributed already I promise I'll post everything. Cause its important tjat people see what is possible. The sky is not the limit anymore gentleman

well if you want to use fw "as it is " you must also consider to find same lcd and keypad not only main board.
I building one big too (50\50\30cm) and just received my RADDs and graphic lcd so can confirm fw modifications later.
this is little bit off topic but I also plan to see if marlin fw give better results than repetier fw on due configuration

Anyone know if the spool that comes with the newest printers is still cardboard? I saw pictures online that look plastic, but that could be the larger rolls. Not sure if I still need to print one of these or not.
